This time I made some Christmas Gift Card Holders in George/Christmas Cheer, for all the people who don’t have JOTS or Christmas/Noël. As an example I made the Christmas Stocking Card. I glued another piece of cadstock on the base and stamped snowflakes on it. I ran the white parts through the cuttlebug embossing folder and put stickles on them. I used magnetic tape to close the card.
Deze keer heb ik wat Kerstcadeaukaarthouders gemaakt in George/Christmas Cheer, voor iedereen die geen JOTS of Christmas/Noël hebben. Als voorbeeld heb ik het kaartje met de kerstkous gemaakt. Ik heb een andere kleur cardstock op de basis geplakt, die ik bestempeld heb met sneeuwvlokken. Ik heb de witte gedeeltes door de cuttlebug gehaald en er daarna stickles op gedaan. Ik heb magnetische tape gebruikt om de kaart te sluiten.

I made several Gift Card Holders in George in combination with Joys of the Season, because not all people do have the new cartridge Christmas Noël. They all are made in the same way as at the blogentry: Christmas Tree Gift Card Holder . I will make more of them in Christmas Cheer and some in Chistmas Noël as well, so keep watching my blog.
Ik heb verschillende cadeaukaarthouders in George gemaakt, in combinatie met Joys of the Season, omdat niet iedereen de nieuwe cartridge Christmas Noël heeft. Ik ga er nog meer maken in Christmas Cheer en ook nog wat in Christmas Noël, dus hou mijn blog in de gaten.

Today I made several Gift Card Holders. Two in George, simple ones, and one in George and Christmas/Noël. They will be of great use for Christmas or other occasions. Hope you enjoy them.
Vandaag heb ik verschillende Cadeaukaarthouders gemaakt. Twee in George, simpele, en één in George en Christmas/Noël. Die komen goed van pas met de kerst of andere gelegenheden.

Yesterday I made several cards, inspired by the card of Melissa Philips on page 24 of the Papercraft Magazine from november/december 2008. I realy loved the vintage look she created. The card is 10 x 30 cm, folded in half. I printed the text of “Silent Night” wich you can download hereand here, on heavy weight white paper. I used several cuts from the JOTS cricutcartridge, the stamp die from cuttlebug, vintage images, designpaper, paint and some ribbon.
Gisteren heb ik verschillende kaarten gemaakt, geïnspireerd door de kaart van Melissa Philips op pagina 24 van het Papercraft Magazine van november/december 2008. De kaart is 10 x 30 cm, in tweeën gevouwen. Ik heb de text van “Silent Night”, welke je hier en hier kunt downloaden, geprint op zwaar wit papier. Ik heb verschillende cuts van de JOTS cricutcartridge gebruikt, de stamp die van cuttlebug, vintage plaatjes, designpapier, verf en wat lint/touw.
Last week I had so much fun making gift bags. These are all made for my father in law, who is going to be 65 years old tomorrow. That’s the official age people can retire from work in the Netherlands. I filled the bags with all funny things, like advertisements for old peoples chairs, or an elevator for the stairs, shampoo for grey hair, so all kinds of things old people may have or want to use, just to make fun:-) In the last one I put a gift certificate for a book, because he likes to read. I also made a card for him with the number 65 of course and the instructions for opening the giftbags (1 every 45 minutes:-)
I made the cutfile in George and also in Plantin schoolbook. You have to have designstudio and the expression!!! After making the file in George or Plantin schoolbook, I made some extra with windows (glue transparencies behind them), using Christmas and Christmas Cheer as well. May come in handy for Christmas gifts.
Instructions: Cut the file, put a transparency behind the windows, score the lines, fold and glue it together. Fold the top, put your gift in it and close the bag with a bow or something else you like. Have fun with it.
De afgelopen week heb ik deze cadeauzakjes gemaakt. Ze zijn allemaal voor mijn schoonvader, die morgen 65 wordt. Ik heb ze gevuld met allerlei gekke dingen, zoals advertenties van sta-op stoelen, incontinentieluiers, een flessenlikker om de laatste restje bij elkaar te schrapen, (het inkomen is immers wat minder:-) etc. In de laatste heb ik een boekenbon gedaan omdat hij dol is op lezen. Ik heb ook een kaart voor hem gemaakt met het nummer 65, met daarin de instructies voor het openen van de pakjes, 1 per 45 minuten.
Ik heb de cutfile gemaakt in George en ook in Plantin Schoolbook. Je hebt designstudio nodig en de expression. Na het maken van de file in George en Plantin Schoolbook heb ik er nog extra gemaakt met venstertjes. (plak hier transparanten achter) Hiervoor heb ik Christmas en Christmas Cheer gebruikt. Dat kan handig zijn met het oog op de kerstdagen.
Instructies: Snij de cutfile, plak een transparant achter het venster, score de lijnen en vouw en plak hem in elkaar. Vouw de bovenkant om, stop het cadeautje erin en knoop hem dicht met een mooi lint. Veel plezier ermee.

Are you, just like me, totally in love with the polar bear on the JOTS cartridge? Then this card is something for you. It’s another accordeon stairstep card. You need the following cartridges: George, Camp out and Joys of the Season.
The card has a base of 10,5 x 5 inch, wich you score at 1,25″-2,5″-4,25″-6″ and at 8,25″. Then fold the card with hills and valleys, accordeon style. Make sure that the part of 1,25″ is folded down! I then ran it through the cuttlebug embossing bubble folder. Cut out all the peaces of the cutfile, glue them together, put some stickles on it and glue the parts on the base. For the sky I used a piece of 5″ x 4″ blue cardstock, but it’s not neccesary, you can also just leave it with only the mountains. Have fun with it.
Ben je net als ik helemaal verliefd op het ijsbeertje op de JOTS cartridge? Dan is deze kaart wat voor jou. Het is weer een accordeon traptreekaart. Je hebt de volgende cartrdges nodig: George, Camp out en Joys of the Season.

Daarna haal je de kaart door de cuttlebug bubble embossingfolder. Snij alle delen van de cutfile, lijm ze op elkaar, doe er wat stickles op en lijm de delen op de basis. Voor de lucht heb ik een stuk blauw cardstock gesneden van 5″ x 4″, maar dat is niet persé nodig, je kunt hem ook zo laten met alleen de bergen. Veel plezier ermee.

Last week I stumbled on a beautiful card at http://www.brensdesigns.com . I really loved it so all credits for this card go to her. Unfortunally she hadn’t made a cutfile and I didn’t have that cricut cartridge. So the first thing I did is ordering this Christmas cartridge (Creadie) and then started making the cutfile. So all the work is done for you. The card has a base of 10,5 x 5 inch, wich you score at 1,25″-2,5″-4,25″-6″ and at 8,25″. Then fold the card with hills and valleys, accordeon style. Make sure that the part of 1,25″ is folded down! I then ran it through the cuttlebug embossing bubble folder. Cut out all the peaces of the cutfile, run the snowy parts through the cuttlebug bubble embossingfolder and glue the pieces together. I used stickles to glossy them up a bit, but that’s not neccesary. Then glue all the pieces on to the base card.
For the people who don’t have designstudio: Houses at 2 inch, Trees at 3,5 inch, Church at 3 inch and Santa at 2 inch.
Vorige week kwam ik een prachtige kaart tegen op http://www.brensdesigns.com . Ik was er weg van dus alle credits voor deze kaart gaan naar haar. Jammer genoeg had ze er geen cutfile van en had ik ook deze cricutcartridge niet. Het eerste wat ik deed was de Christmas cartridge (Creadie) bestellen en daarna maakte ik de cutfile. Al het werk is dus al voor je gedaan. De kaart heeft een basis van 10,5 x 5 inch, die je scored op 1,25″-2,5″-4,25″-6″ en op 8,25″. Voor iedereen die geen designstudio heeft: Huisjes 2 inch, Bomen op3,5 inch, Kerk op 3 inch en de kerstman op 2 inch.
