The third layout is a layout which can be used very well for one of those times you are looking at a roadmap to find your way:-) Again the same mat but a change in the layout of the pictures and the text of course. Have fun with it and i’m very curious what colours and papers you’ll use on this layout. Check back the day after tomorrow for the fourth layout.

In the first series: The only thing you can’t cut is the big mat (10 x 10 inch). You can replace that by cutting it with for example a fiskarscutter, use a corner rounder and make holes on one side with a punch and pull them open.
Open the file and pull everything to the top of the page. If it’s still to big, try turning the design 90 degrees. Then set the mat size at 12 x 6 and start cutting:-)

Kom, wees creatief en kijk wat je kunt doen met deze files.

As promised, here is the second layout with Graphically Speaking. I didn’t change the mat, just changed the layout of the pictures and the text. I start this first serie very simple, so you can make them quick and easy. But I promise you there will be more complicated layouts waithing for you. You can imagine that this will be a totally different layout then the first one, when you change the colour of your papers. And again, it will take you 15 minutes to make. Have fun with it en check back the day after tomorrow for a third layout with this cartridge. Please show me your layout when it’s finished.

Je kunt je voorstellen dat deze layout er heel anders uitziet dan de eerste als je je papier veranderd. En ook nu weer heb je deze layout in 15 minuten klaar. As I said before, I love this cartridge Graphically Speaking. It’s so incredeable versitile. I think you can make many layouts, just with this cartridge alone, but not many people have this card or use it. So I was surprised to stumble on a layout with this cartridge at CreativeExpress.com. I loved the layout and thought to make it easier for you by making a cut file out of it. All you have to do is to decide which paper you want to use and cut the file. You can finish this layout in 15 minutes. That’s very handy since we all need more time then we actually have:-) Don’t forget to put all the designs at the top of your paper before cutting them. I left them in place so you can see the preview:-)I hope you have fun with it, and check back the day after tomorrow for another layout with this great cartridge. Please show me your creations.

Zoals ik al eens eerder heb gezegd ben ik weg van de cartridge Graphically Speaking. Hij heeft zoveel mogelijkheden. Ik denk dat je heel veel layouts kunt maken met alleen deze cartridge maar niet veel mensen hebben deze cartridge of gebruiken hem ook. Ik was dan ook verbaasd om een layout tegen te komen op CreativeExpress.com. Ik vond de layout erg mooi en bedacht om er een cutfile van te maken, voor jullie gemak. Het enige wat je hoeft te doen is bedenken welk papier je wilt gebruiken en de file te snijden. Je kunt de layout klaar hebben in 15 minuten. Dat is toch wel handig omdat we immers allemaal tijd tekort komen;-) Vergeet niet om op alle pagina’s de designs bovenaan in de hoek te zetten voor het snijden. Ik heb ze zo laten staan voor de preview. Ik hoop dat je er veel plezier van hebt en kom overmorgen weer kijken voor een andere layout met deze fantastische cartridge. Laat me alstublieft jullie creaties zien.

Remember this mini album? Marjorie loved it and asked me for the cut file. But back then, I didn’t have CDS, so I cut it all out by hand, tracing the basecamp letters. I promised her to make it this week and her it is. It’s made for the big E with George and Basecamp. Have fun with it.

Remember this card? Apparently the idea of the pop-up Sizzix spinner is not new. There is a file on the internet which is quite similar as the Sizzix spinner. You can find it here – Go to “Make it” and choose “Blooming Flower”. This is the reason why I have decided to share my pop-up spinner cutfile. The file is made in George in 4 different sizes and will be exclusive till 1 august 2009 for donaters who make a donation starting with 5 euro’s or more in april, may or june 2009. I think they deserve something extra. Thanks again:-)

Je kunt hem hier vinden – ga naar “Make it” en kies “Blooming Flower”. Daarom heb ik besloten om mijn pop-up spinner cutfile te delen. De file is gemaakt in George in 4 verschillende formaten en is exclusief tot 1 augustus 2009 voor donateurs die een donatie doen vanaf 5 euro in april, mei of juni 2009. Finally I finished my project for our next vacation to France. It’s a re-usable Travel Portfolio. It has taken me many days to come up with the embellishments, allthough the original idea for the portfolio came from Anne’s Blog. I loved it and thought it would be great to make it with the cartridges Going Places and Graphically Speaking. Next to those two I also used George and Basecamp. The file is a zipfile with several cut files and pdf files in it and also the instructions on how to make it. So before you can work with it, you have to unzip it. Because of the size of this project, you need the Big E. If you don’t have Graphically Speaking or Going Places, you can make the portfolio with the pockets and envelopes with George only and make your own embellishments with the cartridges you have. The embellishements are made mostly with GS and some with GP and G. All the text is made with Base Camp and replacable with another font.
I have made a non reusable one for myself, cause I wanted to put pictures in it as well. So I left everyback of the page blank for my vacation layouts. You can put more envelopes and pockets on the pages I left blank and embellish them as you want. I would be very pleased if you show me your creations, since it has taken me so many houres to make:-) Have fun with it.

Eindelijk ben ik klaar met mijn project voor onze volgende vakantie naar Frankrijk. Het is een herbruikbare Reisportfolio. Het heeft me veel dagen gekost om de embellishments te verzinnen, alhoewel het originele idee van de portfolio van Anne’s Blog kwam. Ik vond het direct erg mooi en dacht dat het leuk zou zijn om hem te maken met de cartridges Going Places en Graphically Speaking. Naast deze twee heb ik ook gebruik gemaakt van George en Basecamp. De file is een zipfile, waarin meerdere cutfiles en pdf files zitten, waaronder een werkbeschrijving. Voordat je aan de slag kan moet je deze dus unzippen. Vanwege de grootte van dit project heb je de Big E nodig. Mocht je Going Places en Graphically Speaking niet hebben, dan kun je de portfolio maken met de pockets en enveloppes met George alleen en je eigen embellishments maken met de cartridges die je hebt. De embellishments van mijn portfolio zijn het meest gemaakt met GS en sommige met GP en G. De tekst is allemaal gemaakt met Base Camp en vervangbaar voor een ander lettertype.
Ik heb een niet herbruikbare gemaakt voor mezelf, want ik wil er ook foto’s in van mijn vakantie. Daarom heb ik iedere achterkant van mijn pagina’s leeg gelaten voor de layouts. Je kunt natuurlijk zelf meer enveloppes en pockets plaatsen of de lege pagina’s en deze naar eigen inzicht versieren. Ik zou het zeer op prijs stellen als jullie me jullie creaties laten zien, omdat het mij zoveel uren heeft gekost om te maken:-) Veel plezier ermee.

With Easter coming up or for a new born baby this file can become in handy. It’s made in George only and a replica of the new die from quickutz which you see in the picture, but my version is a bit different. Have fun with it and please share your creations:-)

I have always loved the quickutz silhouette trees because of their simplicity. That’s why I tried to make them in George. I did make 3 trees instead of 4, because I always think the numbers shouldn’t be even in a design. Hope you enjoy it and please show me your creations.
Ik heb de quickutz silhouette bomen altijd leuk gevonden vanwege hun eenvoud. Daarom heb ik ze nagemaakt in George. Ik heb echter maar 3 bomen gemaakt in plaats van 4 omdat ik in een design een oneven aantal mooier vind. Veel plezier ermee en laat me aub jullie creaties zien.

To make cards with a pop-up you can also use a pop-up spiral like on the card at sparkledaisy.com. I saw several people asking for it, but it could only be made with Plantin Schoolbook. Like the coluzzle, it wil stick to the sides at some points, so you have to cut those with a scissor. The best is to use the same colour for the spiral as your card or a transparancy. Have fun with it.
Om pop-up kaarten te maken, kun je gebruik maken van een spiraal zoals op de kaart van sparkledaisy.com. Ik zag dat verschillende mensen er om vroegen, maar hij kon alleen gemaakt worden met Plantin Schoolbook. Net als met de coluzzle zit hij op sommige punten nog vast, die je met een schaar moet doorknippen. Het mooiste is het om de spiraal in dezelfde kleur als je kaart te maken of van een transparant. Veel plezier ermee.
