Today I made another money card holder but then in combination with a Tic Tac Pocket. The money pocket is only big enough to place some folded bills and not big enough for gift cards. I made two files, one with and one without the money pocket. It’s made totally in George and suitable for all cricutmachines.

Vandaag het ik nog een geldkaarthouder gemaakt, in combinatie met een Tic Tac-houder. De geldpocket is alleen geschikt voor wat opgevouwen biljetten en is niet groot genoeg voor cadeaukaarten. Ik heb twee files gemaakt, één met en één zonder een geldpocket. Hij is helemaal in George gemaakt en geschikt voor alle cricutmachines.

Today I made one more Christmas card. It’s a swing card. I made the card once in the George cartridge in combination with the Christmas Noël cartridge and once in the George cartridge in combination with the Joys of the season cartridge. The file is designed on the 12 x 12 mat but can easely be adapted by choosing the 6 x 12 mat in designstudio.
Vandaag heb nog een kerstkaart gemaakt. Het is een swingkaart. Ik heb de kaart één keer gemaakt met de George cartridge in combinatie met de Christmas Noël cartridge en één keer met de George cartridge in combinatie met de Joys of the Season cartridge . De file is gemaakt op de 12 x 12 mat, maar kan makkelijk aangepast worden door in Designstudio te kiezen voor de 6 x 12 mat.
Instructions: Cut the files of the cutfile. Score the card at 2,75″ and 4″. Stamp some snowflakes in different colours on the card. If you want to stamp your wish on the front of the card, do it before stamping the snowflakes. I have stamped my wish on the back of the card. Take a piece of fishing thread (scappers floss is also a possibillity) and tape it from top to bottom in the center of the card. (i made knots on the ends of it, so it would stick better behind the tape). Glue the square pieces over the fishing thread on the back of the card. Put stickles on the snowflakes. Glue the snowflakes on both sides of the fishing thread. Knot some ribbons on the side of the card. Before you send the card, turn the snowflake around a few times, so when the recipient opens the card it will turn around on it’s own.
Instructies: Snij de files van de cutfile. Score de kaart op 2,75″ en 4″. Stempel wat sneeuwvlokken in verschillende kleuren op de kaart. Als je je kerstwens voor op de kaart wil adviseer ik je dat te doen voordat je de sneeuwvlokken erop stempelt. Ik heb mijn wens op de achterkant van de kaart gestempeld. Neem een stuk visdraad (of scrappersfloss) en tape die van boven naar onderen vast in het midden tussen de scorelijnen. Ik heb in de uiteinden een knoopje gedaan voor wat meer grip on het plakband. Plak dan daarover de vierkante stukjes cardstock om het mooi af te werken. Doe wat stickles op de sneeuwvlokken. Lijm de sneeuwvlokken ieder aan een kant van het visdraad. Draai de sneeuwvlok voor het verzenden een paar keer in het rond, dan zal deze vanzelf ronddraaien wanneer de ontvanger hem open vouwt.

Here some more gift card holders, made of some leftover paper, using the cuttlebug embossingfolders and dies. To make the spiderweb and the snowflakes pop, I used a brayer and ranger ink to ink the inside of the embossingfolder at the side where the snowflakes and spiderweb don’t pop. So ink it at the female side so to speak. Then I put white cardstock on it, with the good side on the inked embossing folder side and ran it twice very slowly through the cuttlebug. You have to do it slowly, so the paper can absolve the ink. After that, clean your embossingfolder immediately. Make sure you always use water resolvable ink!
Hier nog enkele cadeaukaarthouders die ik gemaakt heb van restjes papier, gebruik makend van de cuttlebug embossingfolders en snijmallen. Om het spinnenweb en de sneeuwvlokken te laten poppen heb ik een brayer met ranger inkt gebruikt om de binnenkant van de embossingfolder te inkten. Doe dit aan de kant waar de figuren niet naar bovenkomen, de gladde kant zeg maar. Doe er dan wit papier op, met de goede kant op de inkt en draai het langzaam 2 keer door de cuttlebug, zodat het papier de tijd krijgt om de inkt op te zuigen. Maak daarna direct je embossingfolder schoon. Gebruik altijd water oplosbare inkt.
I am totally into making gift card holders. Every time i gave someone money for either their birthday, graduation or other celebration, I gave it to them in a blank envelop. I really love those gift card holders, it’s a much nicer way to give money as a gift:-)
This one is made with the George cartridge in combination with the Walk in my garden cartridge. I closed the card with elastic cord, but you could use a magnetic snap or magnetic tape as well.

Ik heb me helemaal gestort op het maken van cadeaukaarthouders. Voorheen als ik iemand geld gaf voor een verjaardag of ander feestje, dan deed ik dat in een blanco envelop. Ik vind dit een veel leukere manier om geld als cadeau te geven.
Deze kaart is gemaakt met de George cartridge in combinatie met de Walk in my Garden cartridge. Ik heb de kaart gesloten met een elastiekje, maar je kunt ook magnetic snaps of magnetische tape (Hema) gebruiken.

On request of some people I made a cricut file of the cocoa gift card holder on Andrea Walfords Blog . I really loved the idea wich Andrea deserves all credits for, so i made the file this morning in George. I tried it myself. I stamped some snow stars on the cardstock, punched out a flower and a tag, stamped the greeting on the tag and tied it around the cocoa gift card holder. As you can see on the picture, I didn’t have cocoa or a packet of soup yet:-)

Op verzoek van een paar mensen heb ik een cricutfile gemaakt van de Gift card holder op Andrea Walfords Blog waar je een zakje chocolademelk of soep in kan doen. Ik vond het een heel leuk idee, waar Andrea alle credits voor krijgt. Ik heb de file vanochtend gemaakt in George en hem natuurlijk zelf uitgeprobeerd.
Ik heb sneeuwsterren op het cardstock gestempeld. Een bloem en een tag geponst. De felicitatie op de tag gestempeld en dit om de cadeaukaarthouder geknoopt. Zoals je kunt zien op de foto had ik geen zakje chocolademelk of soep.

This time I made some Christmas Gift Card Holders in George/Christmas Cheer, for all the people who don’t have JOTS or Christmas/Noël. As an example I made the Christmas Stocking Card. I glued another piece of cadstock on the base and stamped snowflakes on it. I ran the white parts through the cuttlebug embossing folder and put stickles on them. I used magnetic tape to close the card.
Deze keer heb ik wat Kerstcadeaukaarthouders gemaakt in George/Christmas Cheer, voor iedereen die geen JOTS of Christmas/Noël hebben. Als voorbeeld heb ik het kaartje met de kerstkous gemaakt. Ik heb een andere kleur cardstock op de basis geplakt, die ik bestempeld heb met sneeuwvlokken. Ik heb de witte gedeeltes door de cuttlebug gehaald en er daarna stickles op gedaan. Ik heb magnetische tape gebruikt om de kaart te sluiten.

Yesterday I made several cards, inspired by the card of Melissa Philips on page 24 of the Papercraft Magazine from november/december 2008. I realy loved the vintage look she created. The card is 10 x 30 cm, folded in half. I printed the text of “Silent Night” wich you can download hereand here, on heavy weight white paper. I used several cuts from the JOTS cricutcartridge, the stamp die from cuttlebug, vintage images, designpaper, paint and some ribbon.
Gisteren heb ik verschillende kaarten gemaakt, geïnspireerd door de kaart van Melissa Philips op pagina 24 van het Papercraft Magazine van november/december 2008. De kaart is 10 x 30 cm, in tweeën gevouwen. Ik heb de text van “Silent Night”, welke je hier en hier kunt downloaden, geprint op zwaar wit papier. Ik heb verschillende cuts van de JOTS cricutcartridge gebruikt, de stamp die van cuttlebug, vintage plaatjes, designpapier, verf en wat lint/touw.
Yesterday my brother in law celebrated his birthday. He asked for money instead of a gift, so he could spend it on his hobby. And we know al about that, don’t we:-) I made a giftcard to put the money in. No cricut, just the plain old fashionate way:-)
Gisteren vierde mijn zwager zijn verjaardag. Hij wilde het liefst geld in plaats van een cadeau, zodat hij het aan zijn hobbie kon besteden, nou daar weten wij alles van he:-) Ik heb een “giftcard” gemaakt om het geld in te doen. Geen cricut, lekker op de ouderwetse manier.
