In case you were wondering where I was yesterday, well I was working on this file. My brother-in-law and his girlfriend are expecting a baby in june. I wanted to make something to congratulate them so I made this multifuntional holder and filled it with baby stuff. I made it as well in George as in Plantin Schoolbook and it is babybug compatible. I made it also in two sizes with a variaty of boxes to put on it, so you can make your holder like you want it. You can choose to use two boxes on the inside and just one on the outside, or also two, or just one on the inside. You can use it for all kinds of stuff. For instance to put some treats, puzzleboek and travel games in for children who have to make a long journey. For a man who likes fishing, buy some fishing gear. To give movietickets to someone and fill it up with sweets, popcorn etc, or for a scrapbooker, fill it with some stamp, inkpads, scissor, glue…etc. I know, you all have a big imagination, so it shouldn’t be a problem to find use for it. Have fun with it and would you please show me yours if you have finished it?:-) TIA.

Mocht je je afvragen waar ik gisteren was, nou ik was met deze file bezig. Mijn zwager en schoonzus verwachten in juni een baby. Ik wilde iets maken om ze daarmee te feliciteren, dus heb ik deze multifunctionele houder gemaakt en daar wat babyspulletjes in gedaan. Ik heb de file zowel in George als in Plantin Schoolbook gemaakt en hij is geschikt voor de Babybug. Ik heb hem ook in twee formaten gemaakt en verschillende formaten doosjes, zodat je je houder naar wens kan maken. Je kunt er voor kiezen om aan de binnenkant 2 doosjes te plaatsen en aan de buitenkant maar 1, of ook 2, of maar 1 aan de binnenkant. Mogelijkheden genoeg. Je kunt het voor van alles gebruiken. Doe er bv wat snoep, puzzelboekje en reisspelletjes in voor kinderen die een lange reis moeten maken. Voor een man die van vissen houdt kun je hem vullen met visspulletjes. Je kunt bioscoopbonnen cadeau doen en daarbij dan wat lekkers en een klein zakje popcorn. Of voor een scrapbooker, vulhem met stempels, inkt, een schaartje, lijm…etc. Ik weet zeker dat jullie eigen fantasie groot genoeg is om hier goed gebruik van te kunnen maken. Veel plezier er mee en laat je me die van jou zien als hij af is?:-) BVD.

Cricut file not available for free anymore / Cricut file niet meer gratis verkrijgbaar.

My provider totally messed up my blog. All categories are gone, my blogroll and also everything filed under specific cartridges. My hubby already contacted them, but till it’s fixed you have to search for yourself:-)

On the Bo Bunny blog they showed us the new edgy chipboard albums, available in the spring of 2009. Well, we can’t wait that long can we?:-) So today I made a look-a-like of this album in the combination George/Accent Essentials as well as in Plantin Schoolbook/Accent Essentials. It is babybug compatible and for the Big E owners, just change the matsize to 12 x 12″.
I didn’t make the holes so you can deside for yourself how you want to bind your book, with rings, or with your Bind-it-all. It would be fun to see what you all make with it:-)

Mijn provider heeft mijn blog helemaal verknald. Alle categorieën zijn weg, mijn blogroll en ook alles wat onder specifieke cartridges geplaatst wat. Mijn hubby heeft al contact met ze opgenomen, maar totdat het opgelost is, moeten jullie zelf even zoeken.

Hij is Babybug compatible en voor alle grote Cricuthouders, verander gewoon de matgrootte in 12 x 12″.
Ik heb de gaten er niet ingemaakt, zodat je zelf kunt beslissen of je hem wilt inbinden met ringen of met je Bind-it-all. Ik zou het leuk vinden om te zien wat jullie er mee maken.

How to get the Cricut files / Hoe krijg je de Cricut files

Here is the latest file in the nested file sequel:-) I made them with small and with big scallops, in George only. I have made a few sizes, but it’s again an adjustable file, so you can make them in any size your cricut machine allows you to. Have fun with it and please show me your creations with this file. TIA.
Take a sneak peak van de nieuwe nestabilities. They will be available in spring 2009. But you can make those inverted scalloped cirkels and inverted scalloped squares yourself if you download my scalloped squares, retangles and cirkels. Open the file. Click on the figure and turn the welding off:-) Then you get a reverse scallop like is shown on this sneak peak as Large Classic Inverted Scallop Squares, Large Classic Inverted Scallop Circles.

Hier is de nieuwste file in de nested file serie:-) Ik heb hem met kleine en grote scallops gemaakt, in George. Ik heb verschillende maten gemaakt, maar het is weer een aanpasbare file, dus je kunt ze maken in iedere grootte die je cricutmachine toelaat. Veel plezier ermee en laat alstublieft zien welke creaties je gemaakt hebt met deze file. BVD.

This is the last file I do by personal request. This is my hobby but if everyone is emailing me if I can make this or that, it’s beginning to look like it’s work:-) So if you want something to be made, leave your message at the cricutgroup you are joining and maybe I or one of the other designers will pick it up. To make a file, the design has to appeal to me. Now I made those scalloped hearts on request of Trish, and I don’t even like them:-) I think I won’t even use them myself, exept as a mat on a layout or something…maybe:-) It’s an adjustable file again, all made in George and combined with the heart in George. Have fun with it.

Dit is de laatste file die ik op persoonlijk verzoek maak. Dit is mijn hobby, maar als iedereen mij emails stuurt of ik dit of dat kan maken, begint het te lijken op werk:-) Dus wil je iets gemaakt hebben, laat dan een berichtje achter op de cricutgroep waar je bij zit en misschien dat ik of één van de andere designers het dan op pakt. Om een file te maken, moet het onderwerp me nl. aanspreken. Nu heb ik de geschulpte harten gemaakt op verzoek van Trish, en ik vind ze zelf eigenlijk niet leuk:-) Ik denk dat ik ze waarschijnlijk zelf helemaal niet gebruik, met uitzondering als mat op een layout..misschien:-) Het is weer een aanpasbare file, helemaal gemaakt in George, gecombineerd met het hart van George. Veel plezier ermee.

Before the fun, I want to talk about this. More and more I see people sharing other peoples cutfiles, without permission ot the designer, for example at the messageboard of Cricut.com. If I notice this happens to my files as well, I will stop sharing my creations. So don’t say I didn’t warn you. If anyone is interested in my work, send them directly to my blog.

And now back to the fun part:-) Today I was certainly not going to make a cut file, no, I was going to show you what you can do with all those nestabilities I made. But boy, was I wrong, because I fell in love with a card at Stampin’Up.com. They do not deliver in the Netherlands, I had to make it in CDS, so that it would be so much easier to use the little bird again, wouldn’t it?:-) I ended not only making the bird, the branch, the card but also the envelop and I put the right scalloped circles in the file as well…all made in George. Am I nuts or what:-) Hope you enjoy it.

O yeah, I made also a card with the scalloped square nestabilities, as an example for you. I stamped the palmtree, coloured it. Used the Cuttlbug for the white mat and cut the sand out by hand. TFL.

Voor al het leuks, eerst even dit. Het valt me op dat steeds meer mensen de cutfiles van anderen gaan delen, zonder toestemming van de ontwerper, bv. op het messageboard van Cricut.com. Als ik merk dat dit ook met mijn files gebeurd, zal ik mijn creaties niet meer met jullie delen. Dus zeg niet dat ik niet gewaarschuwd heb. Als iemand geinterresseerd is in mijn files, stuur ze dan rechtstreeks naar mijn blog.

En dan nu over naar een leuker onderwerp:-) Vandaag zou ik geen cutfile gaan maken, nee, ik zou laten zien wat je allemaal met de nestabilities kan doen die ik gemaakt heb. Maar oh, wat zat ik er weer naast, want ik werd verliefd op een kaart op Stampin’Up.com. Omdat ze niet leveren in Nederland, moest ik er een file van maken in CDS, want dat is toch zoveel makkelijker als ik het vogeltje nog een keer wil gebruiken, niet dan?:-) Het kwam er op neer dat ik niet alleen de vogel, de tak, de kaart, maar ook de envelop en de juiste maat geschulpte cirkels in het bestand heb gemaakt….allemaal in George. Ik lijk wel gek, of niet dan:-) Veel plezier ermee.

O ja, ik heb ook nog een kaart gemaakt met de geschulpte vierkante nestabilities, als voorbeeld voor jullie. Ik heb de palmboom gestempeld (kars) en ingekleurd. Ik heb de Cuttlebug gebruikt voor de witte mat en heb het zand met de hand geknipt. TFL.

Cricut file not available for free anymore / Cricut file niet meer gratis verkrijgbaar.

Last week I added tags to all my entries. They contain the names of the cricut cartridges which I used in the cricut file of that particular blog entrie. You can find the tags at scrappedlives.nl at the bottom of the sidebar. If you for instance only own the cartridge George, just click on it and you will find all the blog entries with files which are made with George or in combination with George.

It also seems that yesterday my feedburner didn’t work. However I added two new files (in total even more because of all the variations in the file), so don’t miss out on those freebies:-)

Vorige week heb ik allemaal tags met de namen van de cricut cartridges toegevoegd aan mijn blogberichten, die ik gebruikt hebt in de in het bericht genoemde cricutfile.  Je kunt deze tags vinden op scrappedlives.nl onderaan in het rechter menu (de sidebar). Als je bijvoorbeeld alleen de cartridge George hebt, click daar dan op en je zult alle blogberichten vinden met files gemaakt in George of in combinatie met George.

Het lijkt er op dat gisteren mijn feedburner niet werkte. Ik heb echter wel twee nieuwe files (in totaal echter veel meer, vanwege de verschillende variaties) toegevoegd, laat die niet aan je neus voorbij gaan:-)

Inge Postma asked me if I could make wave borders with George. She had made a card with a wave border and cut it all out by hand. She thought it would be easier to have a cricutfile of it. I can imagine that:-) And you all know me by now, I didn’t do just one, I made also two variatons. If you want the borders to be smaller, just click on the big retangle in the file, then go to “Shape Properties” and change the height of the retangle. Have fun with it.

Inge Postma vroeg me of ik een golvenborder kon maken met George. Ze had een kaart gemaakt met zo’n border en die helemaal met de hand geknipt. Het leek haar makkelijker om er een cutfile van te hebben. Dat kon ik me wel voorstellen:-) En jullie kennen me inmiddels, ik heb er niet alleen één gemaakt, maar ook nog 2 variaties. Als je de border hoger of lager wilt, click dan op de grote rechthoek in de file, ga naar “Shape Properties” en verander daarin de hoogte van de border. Veel plezier ermee.

Ik heb nog een aanpasbare nestability gemaakt, geheel ontworpen door mij. Gemaakt in zowel George als in Plantin Schoolbook. Het zou leuk zijn als je laat zien wat je er mee maakt. Alvast bedankt!

I had so much fun creating this one. It’s all made by me, they don’t have it at Spellbinders:-)
Again in George and adjustable, so you can make it as big as your cricut machine allows you. Big E cricuteers, just change the mat size to 12 x 12″ or 12 x 24″. I would love to see what you make with this (and all my other) file. Have fun with it.

Ik heb zo’n plezier gehad in het maken van deze, omdat hij helemaal door mij gemaakt is en niet verkrijgbaar bij Spellbinder’s:-) Weer in George en aanpasbaar, dus je kan het zo groot maken als je cricut machine toelaat. Voor de eigenaren van de Big E, pas gewoon de mat aan naar 12 x 12″ of naar 12 x 24″. Ik zou het heel leuk vinden als jullie me laten zien wat jullie er mee maken. Veel plezier ermee.
