One person, Andy, was fed up with Provocraft and made a new program called “Make the Cut”, which works with your cricut machine. I downloaded the trial version this morning and after exprimenting with it I bought it immediately. It has more easy functions than Scal 2. You can break up a picture in parts when it has different colour, no need to have inkscape for that and you can export your files as SVG, so they can be used with other cutting software as well. It’s an easy to use program, easier then Scal in combination with Inkscape. You can find it here: http://make-the-cut.com So from now on I will post my files as SVG’s.

Ik heb de probeerversie gedownload en na er vanochtend mee geëxpirimenteerd te hebben, heb ik het onmiddelijk gekocht. Het heeft meer functies dan Scal 2. Je kunt plaatjes opbreken in delen wanneer het verschillende kleuren of lijnen heeft, daar heb je Inkscape niet meer voor nodig en je kunt je files exporteren als SVG, zodat ze ook gebruikt kunnen worden bij andere snijsoftware. After using MTC for almost two months, how are you liking it? I am on the fence, don’t know if I should upgrade to SCAL 2 or purchase MTC.
There was a chart floating around in cyberspace, show both have good things. Just still not sure which I may like better.

I am so excited about this! Thanks for sharing the info! I have SCAL, but find that I still have some difficulty navigating around on it (although I do like it better than DS because of the greater amount of options you have). This looks so easy!!! Hopefully it really will be!

I was trying to decide what to do with this program, so I do know that I want it if you are happy with the program.
I purchased a copy of this software over the weekend and played with it all day Sunday. I LOVE IT! The fact I can use my own fonts, download images off the internet and edit them…AWESOME! Plus, I found a coupon code MATT-IIPM which took another 10% off…I have found my Cricut companion.
Ik heb gisteren ook de probeer versie gedownload. Ik moet zeggen dat ook ik er erg enthousiast van werd. Ongelooflijk hoe makkelijk je een plaatje van internet om kan zetten en ook nog in lagen kan verdelen. Ik loop nog een beetje te twijfelen omdat ik het geld op dit moment niet heb maar ik zou het wel heel graag willen hebben. Nou ja het salaris komt weer bijna binnen….
