My mother-in-law asked me to make a gift card for an aunt of her who is going to be 80 years old. Since JodyP had made such a beautiful Gift Card Holder, I wanted to make one too, but I wanted to make a really big one and it had to have a moneypocket in it. I ended up making it in two sizes. One is 5 x 7 inches (babybug compatible, just change the matsize) and the other one is 7 x 9 inches. For our great aunt I made the largest one. I also made the instructions on how to assemble it. The file is made with the JOTS cartridge only. Enjoy it.

Mijn schoonmoeder vroeg me om een cadeaukaart te maken voor haar tante die 80 jaar wordt. Omdat JodyP zo’n prachtige cadeaukaarthouder had gemaakt wilde ik er ook één maken, maar ik wilde een hele grote en het moest een geldpocket hebben. Ik heb er uiteindelijk 2 gemaakt. Één is 5 x 7 inches (babybug compatible, verander gewoon de grootte van de mat) en de andere is 7 x 9 inches. Voor onze oudtante heb ik de grootste gemaakt. Ik heb ook nog een instructiegids gemaakt hoe je hem in elkaar zet. De file is gemaakt met de JOTS cartridge. Veel plezier ermee.

Today I made one more Christmas card. It’s a swing card. I made the card once in the George cartridge in combination with the Christmas Noël cartridge and once in the George cartridge in combination with the Joys of the season cartridge. The file is designed on the 12 x 12 mat but can easely be adapted by choosing the 6 x 12 mat in designstudio.
Vandaag heb nog een kerstkaart gemaakt. Het is een swingkaart. Ik heb de kaart één keer gemaakt met de George cartridge in combinatie met de Christmas Noël cartridge en één keer met de George cartridge in combinatie met de Joys of the Season cartridge . De file is gemaakt op de 12 x 12 mat, maar kan makkelijk aangepast worden door in Designstudio te kiezen voor de 6 x 12 mat.
Instructions: Cut the files of the cutfile. Score the card at 2,75″ and 4″. Stamp some snowflakes in different colours on the card. If you want to stamp your wish on the front of the card, do it before stamping the snowflakes. I have stamped my wish on the back of the card. Take a piece of fishing thread (scappers floss is also a possibillity) and tape it from top to bottom in the center of the card. (i made knots on the ends of it, so it would stick better behind the tape). Glue the square pieces over the fishing thread on the back of the card. Put stickles on the snowflakes. Glue the snowflakes on both sides of the fishing thread. Knot some ribbons on the side of the card. Before you send the card, turn the snowflake around a few times, so when the recipient opens the card it will turn around on it’s own.
Instructies: Snij de files van de cutfile. Score de kaart op 2,75″ en 4″. Stempel wat sneeuwvlokken in verschillende kleuren op de kaart. Als je je kerstwens voor op de kaart wil adviseer ik je dat te doen voordat je de sneeuwvlokken erop stempelt. Ik heb mijn wens op de achterkant van de kaart gestempeld. Neem een stuk visdraad (of scrappersfloss) en tape die van boven naar onderen vast in het midden tussen de scorelijnen. Ik heb in de uiteinden een knoopje gedaan voor wat meer grip on het plakband. Plak dan daarover de vierkante stukjes cardstock om het mooi af te werken. Doe wat stickles op de sneeuwvlokken. Lijm de sneeuwvlokken ieder aan een kant van het visdraad. Draai de sneeuwvlok voor het verzenden een paar keer in het rond, dan zal deze vanzelf ronddraaien wanneer de ontvanger hem open vouwt.

I made several Gift Card Holders in George in combination with Joys of the Season, because not all people do have the new cartridge Christmas Noël. They all are made in the same way as at the blogentry: Christmas Tree Gift Card Holder . I will make more of them in Christmas Cheer and some in Chistmas Noël as well, so keep watching my blog.
Ik heb verschillende cadeaukaarthouders in George gemaakt, in combinatie met Joys of the Season, omdat niet iedereen de nieuwe cartridge Christmas Noël heeft. Ze zijn op dezelfde manier te maken als degene bij het blogbericht: Christmas Tree Gift Card Holder . Ik ga er nog meer maken in Christmas Cheer en ook nog wat in Christmas Noël, dus hou mijn blog in de gaten.

Yesterday I made several cards, inspired by the card of Melissa Philips on page 24 of the Papercraft Magazine from november/december 2008. I realy loved the vintage look she created. The card is 10 x 30 cm, folded in half. I printed the text of “Silent Night” wich you can download hereand here, on heavy weight white paper. I used several cuts from the JOTS cricutcartridge, the stamp die from cuttlebug, vintage images, designpaper, paint and some ribbon.
Gisteren heb ik verschillende kaarten gemaakt, geïnspireerd door de kaart van Melissa Philips op pagina 24 van het Papercraft Magazine van november/december 2008. De kaart is 10 x 30 cm, in tweeën gevouwen. Ik heb de text van “Silent Night”, welke je hier en hier kunt downloaden, geprint op zwaar wit papier. Ik heb verschillende cuts van de JOTS cricutcartridge gebruikt, de stamp die van cuttlebug, vintage plaatjes, designpapier, verf en wat lint/touw.
Today I made an ampersand card (A5) for my niece who is getting married tomorrow. A bit late, but we were planning to go, but then my husband got an invitation for a job interview, so that’s a little bit more important. (He works as an IT-consult, but at the moment he doesn’t have a project). I made this card with Basecamp and Joys of the season. I used some scrappersfloss in the middle of the flowers to give the flowers more dept. The cutfiles are available, without the names of course. You have to put your own names there:-)

We zouden eerst gaan, maar toen kreeg mijn echgenoot ineens een uitnodiging voor een gesprek voor een mogelijke opdracht voor zijn werk. Dat is iets belangrijker. Deze kaart is gemaakt in Basecamp en Joys of the Season. Ik heb voor de meeldraden scrappersfloss gebruikt zodat de bloemen wat meer diepte krijgen. De cutfiles zijn verkrijgbaar zonder de namen natuurlijk, daar mag je je eigen namen bij maken.

Are you, just like me, totally in love with the polar bear on the JOTS cartridge? Then this card is something for you. It’s another accordeon stairstep card. You need the following cartridges: George, Camp out and Joys of the Season.
The card has a base of 10,5 x 5 inch, wich you score at 1,25″-2,5″-4,25″-6″ and at 8,25″. Then fold the card with hills and valleys, accordeon style. Make sure that the part of 1,25″ is folded down! I then ran it through the cuttlebug embossing bubble folder. Cut out all the peaces of the cutfile, glue them together, put some stickles on it and glue the parts on the base. For the sky I used a piece of 5″ x 4″ blue cardstock, but it’s not neccesary, you can also just leave it with only the mountains. Have fun with it.

De kaart heeft een basis van 10,5 x 5 inch, die je scored op 1,25″-2,5″-4,25″-6″ en op 8,25″. Vouw dan de kaart in accordeonstijl en zorg ervoor dat het deel van 1,25″ naar beneden gevouwen wordt. Daarna haal je de kaart door de cuttlebug bubble embossingfolder. Snij alle delen van de cutfile, lijm ze op elkaar, doe er wat stickles op en lijm de delen op de basis. Voor de lucht heb ik een stuk blauw cardstock gesneden van 5″ x 4″, maar dat is niet persé nodig, je kunt hem ook zo laten met alleen de bergen. Veel plezier ermee.
